Felix has given us more memorable days in the show ring than we ever expected, but his value to us has never been limited to a record. At home he is kind, steady, funny, intensely connected to his people and still very much a Stafford — enthusiastic, powerful, curious and ready to participate in whatever is happening.
He is the sort of dog who explains why we talk so often about balance. Strength without coarseness. Substance without lumber. Breed type without exaggeration. Presence without a difficult temperament. He can switch on when there is work to do and then come home and simply be ours.
Felix is a dog we are grateful to have bred — not because he won, but because the dog at the other end of the leash remained worthy of the wins.
Felix is the dog this kennel had been working towards for twenty years. He is balanced, athletic, and unmistakably built for the work the breed was made to do — and he has the temperament to match, which matters far more to us than any ribbon.
He runs and/or swims most days, sleeps on the sofa, and has never once been asked to be anything other than a Stafford. He makes us laugh and is a joy to live with.

SBTCA 2026 National Specialty weekend – Utah
A handsome black brindle male of outstanding breed type, whom I have had the pleasure of judging previously, and I continue to be a great admirer of this exceptionally well-made Stafford. He presents a strong yet beautifully balanced outline, free from exaggeration, and exemplifies the ideal combination of moderation, strength, and athleticism. He possesses a clean, powerful head of correct proportions, with a strong underjaw, well-developed cheek muscles, and neat rose ears framing a keen expression, enhanced by dark round well set eyes which complete the picture. A dog of very good substance and bone throughout, with good width and depth of forechest, well-sprung ribs, a firm topline, and muscular, well-developed rear quarters with correct angulation front and rear. On the move he is purposeful, sound, and effortless, covering the ground with ease and positive drive whilst maintaining a solid topline. Presented in excellent condition at 6½ years of age and handled to perfection. A quality male who so successfully combines strength, soundness, and true Staffordshire Bull Terrier type in a very appealing and complete package, his natural showmanship ensuring he never went unnoticed on the day.

A beautiful six-year-old black brindle dog with the correct blend of bull and terrier. He has a classic breed head and expression and embodies everything I look for in a male. Free from exaggeration and impressive from every angle, he has a beautifully shaped head with a clean muzzle, correct scissor bite, and the blackest of pigmentation. His short, muscular neck flows into the truest of fronts, and he stands foursquare with ample spring of rib when viewed from above. His topline is level, and his excellent forequarter and rear angulation give him true, correct movement. Pleasure to behold watching him move. His tail set is correct, and he carries it low. One of the best conditioned dogs on the day. In complete harmony with his handler, he was a real pleasure to watch. Expressive, eye-catching, and all Stafford, his quality cannot be denied. A worthy winner.

Adult dog, close to entering the senior class, who remains in optimal condition for his age. A strong dog of substance, with qualities that can contribute significantly to the breed. He presents a very well-proportioned head, with round, attractive eyes, and well-set ears of good size, giving him a very typical and clearly masculine breed expression.nHe shows a strong neck, correctly set into a good topline, with powerful, well-laid shoulders. Correctly constructed and well balanced, with very pleasing overall proportions.nA very well-presented and balanced dog, showing a slight tendency toward the bull type, an extremely important characteristic for the breed when used appropriately in future breeding programs. He also stands out for his alert and attentive attitude at all times.
